"New" Nonprofit Fundraising Certificate Program

Whether your passion is an educational, arts or social services project or nonprofit organization, you will need enough funding to get it off the ground and to keep it going. How will you do it? This Nonprofit Fundraising Certificate Program is designed to give you the tools to cultivate and secure gifts and grants from individuals, foundations, government, and corporate funders, as well as special events and social network outlets.

Who will benefit from this certificate? Emerging and experienced non-profit program managers, development staff, executive directors, board members, volunteers, teachers, school principals and other staff members.

What classes comprise the Nonprofit Fundraising Certificate? Two classes: "A to Z Grantwriting: Funding Your Passion"  presented by Linda Vallejo AND "The Art of Nonprofit Fundraising" presented by William Moreno (both described below).

Enrollment Fee: $981 - You will save $109 (10%) by enrolling in the complete Nonprofit Fundraising Certificate (instead of the two classes individually).

A to Z Grantwriting: Funding Your Passion 3-Day Intensive Seminar 

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, June 11, 12, & 13
  • 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Linda Vallejo presents a simple and proven system that teaches participants how to prepare, organize and submit, not just a single, successful proposal, but multiple, ongoing proposals for an effective grantwriting campaign. Throughout the course, Vallejo will serve as instructor, mentor and advisor, professionally leading participants through the steps needed to complete a successful grantwriting campaign. Participants will be encouraged to engage in the learning process by asking questions and seeking personalized assistance throughout the course.

Participants learn how to: 1) Find and organize “good match” potential foundation, corporate, and government funders, 2) Establish a well-organized and productive grantwriting team and development office , 3) Develop positive communications with funding sources and collaborative partners, 4) Prepare for all funding opportunities to eliminate stress and chaos and, 5) Study and understand a complete proposal package including need statements, measurable objectives, evaluation plans, and budgets.

Participants also receive an A to Z Grantwriting Manual with targeted resources, tools and samples as well as a personalized list of good match potential funders to help them get started in the grantwriting process. Enrollment Fee: $595

"New" The Art of Nonprofit Fundraising 3-Day Intensive Seminar

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, June 25, 26, & 27
  • 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

This course presented by William Moreno focuses on strategies and real world tactics for cultivating and securing gifts and grants from individuals. Thoroughly interactive, the course provides a context and process for creating successful goals and action plans. Also covered are building lasting relationships with donors, the art of making “the ask”, tactics to attract new donors and deepen relationships with existing donors. Others topics include the “elevator speech” or pitch, engaging your board of directors, annual campaigns, membership programs, planning successful fundraising events, social media, approaches to working with diverse communities and more. This pragmatic course is targeted to emerging and experienced non-profit program managers, development staff, executive directors, board members, volunteers and others. A textbook is required for this course. Enrollment fee: $495.
