Workshop: "Creating Visual Stories for our Faith Communities"

This media arts workshop allows students to explore their Faith community experience and express it through short films done with small cameras, as the ones in cell phones. They will be learning the basics how to film and edit. In summary, at the end of the workshop the student would be able to express through visual images their Faith.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

blog_proencaRev. Luís Proença, MFA is a priest involved in directing documentaries and new media art. He is Associate Professor and Chair of Film Production at LMU School of Film and Television, President of Hope Media Productions, Inc. and an advisor for European Media academic programs. His past work includes “Pukiki : The Portuguese Americans of Hawai’i,” “Mo'olelo : Oral Histories of the Portuguese in Maui, Oahu and Hawai'i,” “Hopes and Struggles of Mozambican Refugees” and “Touchstone: The Rock Art of Côa Valley,” “Tradition: As Festas e Tradições dos Portugueses na Califórnia” and “Off the Boat: As Histórias de Imigração dos Portugueses na Califórnia.”
