Vinyasa Krama Yoga
NEXT COHORT BEGINS SUMMER 2010.
The Certificate Program in Vinyasa Krama is a one-month intensive program suitable for those interested in the Yoga style as taught by Srivatsa Ramaswami, the longest-standing student of Krishnamacharya. In the complete Vinyasa Krama series, the entire range of sequences, numbering about 700 with important pranayama, chanting and meditation methods taught by Krishnamacharya, will be explored. Upon completion of the 60 hours of study, participants will receive a certificate in Vinyasa Krama. Please see a recent review of the program in L.A. Yoga Magazine.
General Information
Courses will meet on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Loyola Marymount University’s serene Westchester campus during late June and early July. The program runs one month. Participants who complete the Vinyasa Krama certificate program will earn a total of 6.0 LMU Extension semester hours and a certificate of completion from Loyola Marymount University. Tuition is $1,140 for the program. Schedules and tuition are subject to change. Please check the website for updates.

INSTRUCTOR
Srivatsa Ramaswami is Krishnamacharya's longest-standing student outside the family. He has mastered Vinyasa Krama, Vedic Chanting and Yoga Therapy. He has studied the classic Yoga texts extensively and has written countless articles, recorded more than 35 cassettes of Sanskrit mantra, and has written two books: Yoga for the Three Stages of Life and Krishnamacharya's Vinyasa Yoga.
