Louise DobbsOffice Supervisor
Louise Dobbs has worked at LMU since 1997, beginning as Senior Secretary working with Jonathan Weil in the LACIS project and Jody Fisher in Continuing Education. She was assistant to Christopher Chapple when he joined the department in 2002 and became Office Supervisor of LMU Extension in 2003. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena. |

Peggy DobreerCommunity Relations Coordinator
Peggy Dobreer is a parent, poet, and author who joined our staff in 2006 and serves as Community Relations Coordinator for LMU Extension, as well as Vice President of Membership for Lion's Pride Toastmasters. She represented LMU and won First Place in the Area A-4, International Speech Contest this year. Peggy is co-author of 64 Ways to Practice Nonviolence, A Curriculum and Resource Guide, published by ProEd, Inc. and was the Director of Education for Common Peace, Center for the Advancement of Nonviolence from 1996-2005. A longtime educator, Peggy is an advocate for student rights and the practice of nonviolence in our everyday lives.

Ben HayesDirector, Special Programs
After military service as an officer in the U.S. Army, Ben Hayes worked for a couple of years for an NBC-TV affiliate in Arizona. Upon returning to Los Angeles, his home, he worked for 18 years with a company overseeing the distribution of high-end residential kitchen equipment. For several years prior to coming to LMU, Ben worked in the special projects department of a property-management company that owned a 1 million-square-foot shopping center and several hundred apartment units. Since early 1994, Ben has had several positions within LMU Extension, from responsibility for publication of the summer session bulletin to on-campus non-degree programs and currently, special programs. Michael McNaughtAssistant Director, Center for Religion and Spirituality
As assistant director, Mr. McNaught is involved with curriculum and program development, research and special projects in the Center. He also coordinates the Center’s communications, as well as division-level marketing and related projects for LMU Extension. He is the current program director of LA Religious Education Congress Film Showcase. Prior to the Center, Mr. McNaught was a member of the Campus Ministry department, working in the area of liturgy and music. He has worked, both as an employee and intern, in production, marketing and creative research at Disney, ABC and Scholastic. An alumnus of Loyola Marymount, Mr. McNaught is currently completing his MA in Theology. |

Pat Ranftl
Academic Services Coordinator
Pat Ranftl is the Academic Services Coordinator with LMU Extension and also handles tuition assistance for Extension students. She has done volunteer work for the American Diabetes Association and for Children’s Hospital. |

Cherie SchenckSenior Director of LMU Extension
Cherie Mills Schenck is currently Senior Director of LMU Extension at Loyola Marymount University, where she leads the development and implementation of a variety of continuing education, professional development and online programs. Schenck received a Doctorate in Instructional Technology & Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University, with a dissertation topic involving student motivation in online courses. Schenck has designed and developed 13 online professional development courses. She holds an MBA from California State University, Long Beach, and a B.A. in Radio/TV/Film Broadcasting from California State University, Northridge. |
