This Certificate will provide the necessary tools to launch, operate and promote a nonprofit organization that furthers its vision, educates the public on the issues it was created to address and is in regulatory and financial compliance as it grows into a vital, well-funded and sustainable organization on the local, national or global arena. Half of the certificate will focus on granwriting and funding operations, while the other half will address vision and mission, regulatory compliance and organization, Board development, sustainability, branding and presence. A to Z Grantwriting
Linda Vallejo will present a simple and proven system that teaches participants how to prepare, organize and submit, not just a single, successful proposal, but multiple, ongoing proposals for an effective grantwriting campaign. Throughout the course, Vallejo will serve as instructor, mentor and advisor, professionally leading participants through the steps needed to complete a successful grantwriting campaign. Participants will be encouraged to engage in the learning process by asking questions and seeking personalized assistance throughout the course.
Nonprofit Development and Leadership
This course will cover both the practical steps and the leadership skills needed to set up or strengthen a nonprofit program. Topics will include financial and regulatory compliance, organizing the constituency, identifying the vision, mission and leadership, implementing and expanding a volunteer base and other sustainable resources, and the "how to" of building programs and presentations that further a focused mission. The course methodology will include lecture, experiential learning and development projects, and will include instructors with expertise in the various subjects.
