Move, Dance, Yoga This workshop is designed to help teachers integrate dance/movement, creative process, and imagination into their classroom. Teachers explore concepts of dance through improvisational structures and create pieces that are both personally meaningful, and can relate to particular subject matter, such as history, language arts, science and math.
Instructor Michael Richter, M.A. in Dance, has been teaching, improvising, performing and research instructing in the Alternate Route Training for Dance/Movement Therapy. She is co-creator of a professional development program for teachers, "How to use movement int he classroom to teach curriculum and the arts, K-5th." She also works with seniors at Sunrise Assisted Living as a dance therapist and movement specialist.
