Richard Garcia began writing in his teens and his first chapbook drew high praise from Nobel Laureate Octavio Paz. He has since authored five books, mostly with BOA Editions, and received numerous awards, including a Pushcart and and NEA fellowship. An instuructor in the Antioch MFA in Creative Writing, he has also taught at Cal State Long Beach, USC, the University of Redlands, and the College of Charleston
Katherine Williams has authored three chap books and has read at venues throughout Southern California and the Southeast. Her poems are published in various anthologies and has received a Pushcart nomination. She now lives on James Island, SC, with her husband, poet Richard Garcia, where she researches coral disease at Hollings Marine Lab.
