CONTEMPORARY IRELAND IN LITERATURE AND FILM

A study of narratives, plays and films by living Irish writers and artists. Topics include Irish identity, artistic self-definition, cultural tradition vs. transnational post modernity, and conflicting views of Ireland offered by male and female writers and filmmakers. This course will fulfill major/minor requirements or serve as an upper-division elective for English, film, or Irish Studies.

Human resources represent a vital asset contributing to an organization's productivity and long-term survival; the value of effective human resource management is becoming increasingly apparent in the global marketplace. This course will compare and contrast U.S. vs. European/Irish HR practices and the issues, challenges, and opportunities that the management of human resources on a global scale present. This course will fulfill major/minor requirements or serve as an upper-division elective under management or Irish Studies.
