Cultural Excursions

Each semester, the AIB organizes several day excursions such as a Rhine cruise, visits to the cities Cologne, Aachen, Maastricht & Frankfurt, and a visit to the Eifel region of Germany, and two multiday excursions described below. In addition, there is ample opportunity for students to travel on their own.

Fall 2012

Paris and Belgium --
Students enjoy a multiday visit to the romantic city of Paris, famous for its elegant shops and cafés, and its abundance of art galleries, museums and historical architecture. Paris is followed by a visit to the medieval city Bruges and to Brussels, the headquarters of the EU.

Berlin and Prague -- Students take a second multiday excursion to the capital cities of Berlin and Prague. In Berlin, students explore the modern excitement and remarkable history of this recently unified and reclaimed capital city. Prague, the gateway to Eastern Europe is a Bohemian city of architectural marvels; styles like classicism and art nouveau are visible in abundance and ancient landmarks of the Czech Republic are well preserved.
