The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was the first university in Hong Kong to have student exchange and study abroad programs. The university's first exchange students came from the University of California in 1965. CUHK was the first local institution to have been audited for its education quality by the Quality Assurance Council (QAC) of the University Grants Committee (UGC). The QAC confirmed that the Chinese University of Hong Kong "is providing a high quality standard learning experience that reflects its mission and role statement, underpinned by good quality assurance systems."
Over the years, CUHK has maintained relationships with a large number of institutions worldwide. Student exchange programs have developed rapidly at the department level, college level and university level. The university now has close to 110 exchange partners and is sending some 300 students abroad each year. In return, CUHK receives about 400 exchange and study abroad students each year. LMU students can spend a semester or year studying at CUHK.
