The Gilman Scholarship
Review your LMU financial aid package. If you are currently receiving a Pell Grant, you are eligible to apply for the The Gilman Scholarship, up to $8,000 with the option of an additional $3,000 for language study. The Gilman program is also interested in promoting applicants interested in nontraditional destinations.

The David Boren Scholarship
Programs such as the David Boren Scholarship fund international experiences in non-European destinations, up to $20,000 for a full year program. Longer programs have a better chance for all candidates except those in the sciences, who are allowed to apply for summer funding.

UNESCO
The US National Commission for UNESCO Laura Bush Traveling Fellowship funds brief work in a foreign country related to the mandate of UNESCO - using education, natural sciences, social and human sciences, culture, and/or communication and information to build strong ties among nations.

Freeman Scholarship
Freeman-ASIA provides financial support to American undergraduates with demonstrated financial need to study abroad for academic credit during the summer, semester or academic year in one of 15 countries/regions in East and Southeast Asia. Award amounts vary from $3,000 - $7,000 depending on the length of study.
