Entrepreneurial Program

The Center for Entrepreneurship has been serving students and the entrepreneurial community for nearly 30 years. Courses are designed to foster the entrepreneurial spirit and way of thinking in any endeavor students undertake in the business world. Creativity, innovation, risk acceptance (at an acceptable level) and a "can do" attitude are encouraged to optimize entrepreneurial results. The Center has been a strong force in the development of entrepreneurship education in the local Los Angeles area, the U.S., and internationally.

Princeton Review named LMU’s College Of Business Administration among the top 25 entrepreneurial colleges in the U.S. Entrepreneur Magazine ranked the director of the Entrepreneurship Center, Fred Kiesner, among the top five in the nation as a result of a national survey of faculty. Dr. Kiesner lectured as a Visiting Professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and was a Fulbright Visiting Professor at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Professor Kiesner is on the Board of International Council for Small Business; an Editorial Board member of the International Journal of Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Change, and Journal of Enterprising Culture (Singapore). He is an Honorary Professor of the Sociology Department at the State Pedagogical Institute, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Sakhalin Island, Russia) and a Member of the Russian Academy of Sociology (Moscow, Russia).
