Christina Brunk
Christina Brunk was born in Los Angeles, California, where she began her training at age two in classical ballet and jazz. She attended the professional ballet programs of School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Massachusetts Youth Ballet, and Jeanette Neil’s studio in Boston.  In 1998, she danced with Pennsylvania Ballet Company.  In 1999 she moved to Boston, where she continued her career with extensive training at Boston Body Works Studio and Boston Ballet. Fully certified, her trainings include: StottPilates with PJ O’Claire and Gyrotonic Expansion System with Sebastion Splettenberg and Lisa Marie Goodwin.  Currently back in Los Angeles, Christina is an instructor at L.A. Body Kinetics, has become a pre-trainer for Lisa Marie Goodwin, and teaches the summer program at Westside School of Ballet.  With the combination of a unique style and exceptional professional training, she is able to inform the kinesthetic sensibility, enriching her clients by teaching them how to incorporate body awareness and an ability to move naturally into their daily lives. 

Lisa Marie Goodwin
As a professional dancer, Lisa Marie Goodwin brings a unique perspective to dance/body conditioning.  She has performed with the San Francisco Ballet, Cleveland Ballet, Nevada Dance Theatre, Helios Dance Company, and the Los Angeles Classical Ballet, with guest artist work for San Diego Ballet, San Diego City Ballet, and Inland Pacific Ballet. The former director of the Children’s Division at Long Beach Arts Center and the Junior Company, she designed, organized, and implemented a developmental syllabus for classical dance. Lisa Marie is a certified teacher-trainer of the “Pilates-based” movement and a master teach of the Gyrotonic Expansion System in all aspects.  She continues to teach dance injury prevention for various ballet schools in Southern California and rehabilitation for the specific needs of both the adolescent and mature dancer/athlete. If you can’t find Lisa Marie in Southern California, she may be hosting teacher trainings in various cities, or performing or teaching in New York.  Internationally, she has also worked as a Ballet Mistress with the Guangzhou Ballet Company in China.

 

 

Tekla Kostek
Tekla Kostek is a graduate of the National Ballet School and former member of the Boston Ballet.  In Canada she had the opportunity to work with Karen Kain, Cilia Franca, German choreographer John Neumeyer, and performed solo modern works by Molissa Fenley.  Upon returning to the United States, Tekla furthered her training with the former Kirov members Tatiana Legat and Tatiana Terekhova.  As a member of the Boston Ballet, her repertoire included Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Nutcracker, Giselle, and numerous Balanchine works.  Major choreographers she has worked with include Ben Stevenson, Christopher Wheeldon, and Mark Morris.  Tekla currently teaches at the Westside School of Ballet and Loyola Marymount University.

 

Caprice Walker
Caprice Walker received her early ballet training with Irina Kosmovska and continued her studies with David Linchine and Taiana Riabouchinska. She was a member of Ballet of Los Angeles/Western Ballet and performed with distinction in George Balanchine’s Serenade, 3rd movement Symphony in C and Allegro Brilliante. Ms. Walker was a soloist with Ballet Society of Los Angeles under the co-artistic direction of Tatiana Riabouchinska and Kenneth Kree. She has performed in films and on the stage with the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera Association. She is currently on the faculty of the Westside School of Ballet directed by Yvonne Mounsey, former ballerina with New York City Ballet.
