Department Contacts

Typically, students need to visit with a department Chairperson to declare a major or minor.  Be sure to check the specific areas for your respective college and department.  The current LMU Chairpersons and Program Directors List can be found here.

Advising Appointments

In preparing for your advising appointment, review the LMU University Bulletin so that you are familiar with the degree requirements, coursework within the major and information about academic policies. It is best to come with well-developed questions for your advisor.

At each advising appointment, students should bring their most recent CAPP report (you can access your CAPP report on PROWL), a list of potential courses that you want to register for, and any questions you have for your advisor about the curriculum, degree requirements, career and graduate school options, professional organizations and other topics related to your intellectual development.
