Who are the writing tutors?

They are LMU undergraduate and graduate students
with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and excellent communication skills. They have completed a one-unit writing tutor training course jointly certified by the College of Reading and Learning Association’s (CRLA)
International Tutor Certification Program and the National Tutoring Association. We hire tutors from
many majors and train them to address writing
concerns in any discipline. Our tutors can also be identified by their majors, so you can ask to see a
tutor with a philosophy, English, business or theology major, for example.

If you’d like to join this team of outstanding students and you meet the above GPA requirements, fill out an LRC application (click here to download application).
We hire and train new tutors every fall semester.
