American Cultures Studies (3 semester hours)

History (6 semester hours)
Santiago Canyon College students fulfill this requirement at LMU.

Literature (3 semester hours)
Santiago Canyon College students choose one of the following courses:

ENGL 102, 102H, 271, 272, 278

Mathematics, Science and Technology (6 semester hours)
This requirement is met by the curriculum of the major in the College of Science and Engineering.

Philosophy (6 semester hours)
Students are required to take PHIL 160: Philosophy of Human Nature at LMU and 3 semester hours of upper division philosophy to fulfill the core requirement.  

Social Sciences (6 semester hours)
Santiago Canyon College students choose one of the three following options:

Option A:  Select 2 courses from the following departments.  Each course must be from a different department.

*Students majoring in the Bachelor of Science in Natural Science, Secondary Science Education in either Biology or Chemistry may use either of these courses to satisfy the U.S. Constitution requirement for the preliminary teaching credential.
