Lower Division Major Requirements
- Students following the lower division curriculum for the major in Classical Civilizations take 9 semester hours in classical literature in translation at LMU.
- Students following the lower division curriculum for the major in Classics take 9 semester hours in Classical Greek and 9 semester hours in Latin.
- Students following the lower division curriculum for the major in Greek take 9 semester hours of Classical Greek grammar sufficient to attain a level of proficiency that allows the student to translate unedited passages of poetry and prose.
- Students following the lower division curriculum for the major in Latin take 9 semester hours of Latin grammar sufficient to attain a level of proficiency that allows the student to translate unedited passages of poetry and prose.
