Lower Division Curriculum for the Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts, Art Education emphasis

University Core Requirements
The Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, Art Education emphasis follows a University Core pattern that is specific to this major.  Students following this major curriculum should use this link to view the Core requirements.

Lower Division Major Requirements
Students are required to take 8 courses in Art and Art History as well as 1 foundation course in a specific studio arts focus area.

Studio Arts Foundation requirement
Students choose one of the following studio arts focus area courses :

ART 280: Photography I
ART 285: Introduction to Printmaking
Choose one focus area from the follow 3 choices:
• ART 221: Life Drawing I + ART 223: Life Drawing II
  (both courses are required for the drawing focus area)

ART 147: Beginning Ceramics
• AM 151: Digital Photography

Students interested in the printmaking focus fulfill this requirement at LMU.
