UNDER CONSTRUCTION
The University Core Curriculum required by Loyola Marymount University encourages intellectual breadth. No matter the student's major, all students should be acquainted with the major areas of knowledge that will prepare the student for life after a degree is earned.
The University Core Requirements span interdisciplinary studies in the following:
- American Cultures
- College Writing
- Communication or Critical Thinking
- Critical and Creative Arts
- History
- Literature
- Mathematics, Science and Technology
- Philosophy
- Social Science
- Theological Studies
University Core is specific to each College or School within the University as defined in the Undergraduate Bulletin.
Articulations Agreements for University Core are listed by College or School. Students seeking teacher preparation leading to the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts) are advised to consult the specific core requirements for their major. All other students are also advised to check individual degree requirements for University Core specific to their individual major.
