Art Education Majors

Lower Division Curriculum for the Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts, Art Education majors

  • Art Education emphasis
  • Art Education emphasis with a State of California Secondary Teaching Credential
The College of Science and Engineering of curricula leading to the Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts, Art Education or Art Education with a State of California Secondary Teaching Credential.  The lower division requirements are identical for both majors.

The University Core requirements are specific to the Art Education majors.  Students use this link to view their Core requirements.

Lower Division Major Requirements
Students are required to take 8 courses in Art and Art History as well as 1 foundation course in a specific studio arts focus area.
