Music Majors

Lower Division Curriculum for the Bachelor of Arts in Music

The College of Communication and Fine Arts offers a major leading to the Bachelor of Arts in Music in the following concentrations:
  • Choral Conducting concentration (Instrumental or Vocal)
  • Instrumental Conducting concentration
  • Instrumental Studies concentration
  • Music History/Literature concentration (Instrumental or Vocal)
  • Theory/Composition concentration (Instrumental or Vocal)
  • Vocal Studies concentration
  • World Music/Ethnomusicology concentration (Instrumental or Vocal)

Lower Division Major Requirements
Students are required to complete General Theory requirements, Applied Music requirements and a two-semester Foreign Language requirement.
