This requirement is met by the curriculum of the major in the College of Science and Engineering.

Philosophy (6 semester units)
Students are required to take PHIL 160: Philosophy of Human Nature at LMU and 3 semester hours of upper division philosophy to fulfill the core requirement.  Chaffey College students fulfill the lower division (PHIL 160) requirement at LMU.

Social Sciences (6 semester hours)
Chaffey College students choose one of the following 3 options:

Option A: Select 2 courses from the following departments (courses must be from different departments):

Theological Studies (6 semester hours)
Students are required to take one 100-level and one 300-level theology course.  Chaffey College students may fulfill the lower division requirement by taking the following course:

PHIL 82

*For students majoring in the Bachelor of Arts in mathematics for secondary teacher preparation, any of these courses may be used to satisfy the U.S. Constitution requirement for the preliminary teaching credential.
