Enrollment/Degree Verifications
LMU has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) as an agent for verification of student enrollment and degrees. The NSL must be contacted for all student verifications of enrollment or degrees. Please do not contact the University.

Students and alumni do not need to contact the NSL and should print Official Enrollment Verification Certificates directly from PROWL (Select Student Services... Select Student Records... Select Enrollment Verification)
This Enrollment Verification Certificate prints on the letterhead of the NSC and should be used whenever official proof of enrollment is required. Since the NSC is a nationally recognized source for student verifications, this certificate is accepted by companies and organizations as verification of a student’s enrollment in lieu of the student attaining the school seal and signature of the University Registrar.
- Official enrollment data is reported to the NSC after the close of the registration period and is updated several times during the semester. Students can obtain official enrollment verifications through PROWL shortly after the close of registration.
- Official degree postings are reported to the NSL three times a year. (mid-February for December degrees, mid-July for May degrees, and mid-October for August degrees)
If enrollment or degree verification is needed before data is reported to the NSL, the student should contact the Office of the Registrar.
Forms requiring the University Registrar’s signature to confirm a student’s eligibility for a good student discount are processed by the Office of the Registrarwithin 3-5 days after submission of the form.
The NSL automatically updates enrollment data to lenders. If a lender sends a deferment form and insists the form be completed, please sign it as required (borrower's signature) and forward it to the Office of the Registrar. The deferment form will be forwarded to the NSL and they will furnish the necessary information to the lender.
Cal Grant forms do not need to be submitted to the Office of the Registrar for GPA verification. GPA verifications for Cal Grants are processed electronically by the University through the Financial Aid Office.
