Diplomas
Degree Clearance and Posting to Transcript
Each graduating undergraduate and graduate student has a final review of the academic requirements for graduation and degree posting. In collaboration with the Deans' Offices, each student's CAPP report is reviewed by hand to ensure correct completion. Once this has been done and the degree is clear to post, the degree is posted to the transcript. It may take up to four weeks before a degree is posted.
Diploma Orders
Following the Degree Clearance and Posting to Transcript, students can expect to receive official diplomas approximately 6-8 weeks after the posting (c.f., above). Students may access PROWL to verify the diploma order date (Student Services > Student Records > View Degree Information). The diploma is mailed to the address provided by the student on the Application for Degree. Changes to the diploma mailing address may be
submitted any time prior to the degree posting date.
Account Holds
In the case of a hold on the student's account, the diploma will not be ordered until the hold is cleared and the student contacts the
Office of the Registrar to update address information. Check PROWL for the staus of Student Account holds (Student Services > Student Secords > View Holds).
Diploma Covers
Diploma covers are distributed during the commencement ceremony. If the student did not attend the ceremony, a diploma cover may be picked-up in the Office of the Registrar after Commencement Weekend.
Duplicate Diplomas
A
duplicate diploma may be ordered at any time by a student. There is a $25 fee and processing takes about 6-8 weeks.
