Sick Leave

Faculty

Although faculty do not accrue a specific number of sick days per year, it is the policy of the University to pay faculty members for a reasonable number of days missed due to short-term illnesses.

Staff

With the exception of the President and Senior Vice Presidents, staff members are credited with three sick leave days upon completion of the three-month waiting period. Thereafter, staff members accrue one day per month of active employment. There is no limit to sick leave accrual. Part-time regular staff members accrue sick leave based on the number of scheduled work hours.
