Institutional Loan Information
Repayment of the Federal Perkins Loan, Burns Student Loan, LMU California Loan and the Shandler Loan are processed through Loyola Marymount University’s Controller’s Office Loan Department and therefore are referred to as “institutional loans”.
If you have not accepted your loan, do so at www.lmu.edu\PROWL. After accepting your loan, the requirements to disburse your loan will show as “missing” on your PROWL account.
If your institutional loan requires a guarantor (cosigner), please be sure to notify your guarantor to check his/her email account for notification from ECSI (webmaster@ecsi.net) on how to complete the process. It's possible the email may appear in spam/junk mail. Please be sure to check those folders. In the event your guarantor cannot be authenticated through the online process, please contact LMU Loan Office at (310) 338-1942 or (310) 338-5449 to receive instructions on how to proceed or send an email to loansinrepayment@lmu.edu
Should notarization be required, please be sure not to make notations on the documents other than the required signatures, otherwise the documents will be rejected, which will delay the processing of your loan.
