CSW Scholarship
The Loyola Marymount University Committee on the Status of Women (CSW) sponsors scholarships each year to support women students who actively contribute to the experience and expression of female life on campus. This ‘contribution’ is open to interpretation and could include leadership, service, or setting a specific example of female empowerment, no matter how small.
Each CSW scholarship awards $1,000 to the recipient. This year, three scholarships will be awarded. Applications should be made in the spring term by continuing students who will receive their award for the following academic year. This scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as full-time or part-time students. The award can be used for school-related expenses or professional development.
To apply, students must fill out an application, which includes a one-page typed essay (approximately 500 words) describing how the applicant intends to contribute to the status of women on campus. The thoughtfulness of this essay will be weighed most heavily by the selection committee.
The 2013-2014 application is here! Click here to fill out your application form. Applications are due by 5pm on Monday, March 4.
