Elena M. Bove

Lane Bove Lane Bove began her career as Senior Vice President for Student Affairs at Loyola Marymount University in 1987. She is passionately involved in the education that occurs outside the classroom enhancing students' engagement in the full collegiate experience. As the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs she oversees Athletics, Student Health Services, Student Psychological Services, Center for Service and Action, Career Development Services, Student Life, Campus Recreation, Judicial Affairs, Ethnic and Intercultural Services, and Student Media. She actively serves in the West Coast Conference (President, 1992-2002), the National Collegiate Athletic Association, California Women in Higher Education, the Center for Excellence in Education, and JASPA/NASPA.

Dr. Bove began her work in education as a Reading Specialist from 1972-1981 in the Palos Verdes Unified School District. Subsequently she served as Director of the Academic Resource Center at Loyola Marymount University. She was awarded a master's in Reading from Loyola University and a doctorate in Institutional Management from Pepperdine University.
