Drollinger Parking Plaza was built with a “green roof” in 1995.
LMU draws 10 percent of its electric power from renewable resources.
More than 70 percent of campus sprinklers respond automatically to weather conditions.
Started recycling in 1990; first campus-wide collegiate recycling program in California, 1993.
One of the first campuses in the state to recycle 100% of green waste.
Solar rooftop systems, on University Hall and Von der Ahe Library, won a federal Green Power Award in 2003.
More than half of the campus uses reclaimed water for irrigation.
LMU has three LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) buildings.
