POSITION TITLE: Campus Ministry Work Study
GRADUATION DATE RANGE: 2014 – 2017
SUPERVISOR: Individual Campus Ministers
HOURS PER WEEK: 3 to 10 hours per week
SALARY: Starting at $9.00 per hour
HIRING CRITERIA: Full-time enrollment as a degree seeking student at Loyola Marymount University during employment period.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Campus Ministry work study students, aka Student Ministers, serve the needs of the entire office of Campus Ministry. Providing assistance and support to specific ministry areas (Justice, Retreats, Outreach, Liturgy, Music, Sacramental Preparation, etc) within Campus Ministry.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS: The Student Ministers work as both administrative assistants and primary ministry program support. Coordination and open communication with campus ministers are essential skills and attributes. The successful candidate must have working knowledge of a variety ministry areas. Successful applicants will be actively involved in Campus Ministry and supportive of Campus Ministry as well as its mission and goals as expressed in its Mission Statement.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Specific Ministry Area Responsibilities.
2. Answering phones.
3. Greeting all visitors.
4. Making and maintaining data bases.
5. Typing documents as directed.
6. Organizing and completing mailings.
7. Creating and posting flyers and posters.
8. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- The ability to interact in an engaging and hospitable manner
- Self-motivated/self-starter
- Ability to stay on task and follow through
- Knowledge of (or ability to learn quickly):1.Microsoft Suite, 2. Internet, 3. Adobe Suite
- REQUIRED WORK DATES: August 22-25.

EVALUATION NOTES: Student Ministers students are subject to a four week probationary period after hiring. Student minister evaluations will be completed semesterly. Consideration for all future rehiring will include examination of all evaluations.
