Marriage
Only full-time undergraduate, graduate and law students; faculty, and staff are eligible to be married in Sacred Heart Chapel. Student weddings must occur in Sacred Heart Chapel no later than five years following graduation. Reservations are not accepted more than twelve months prior to the wedding date. Below please find the necessary materials for completing the steps to be married at Loyola Marymount (all documents are PDFs). The Marriage Registration Packet should be completed on the computer and then printed, signed (by all necessary parties), and returned.
Marriage Preparation sessions are required for engaged couples to assess their readiness for marriage and to assist them in understanding that marriage is a vocation, a covenant and a sacrament. Because the Chapel of the Sacred Heart is not a parish, Loyola Marymount does not provide a process for marriage preparation. Couples who decide, however, to wed at Loyola Marymount are asked to go through the preparation process in their home parish. If that is not feasible, please contact Saint Anastasia Catholic Church in Westchester to obtain the required information and documentation for marriage preparation.
