Christian Life Community
Each Christian Life Community (CLC) group consists of 5-10 members who meet once a week for prayer, reflection, and sharing. We, belonging to the international organization of World Christian Life Communities, support each other on our unique faith journeys and seek God's presence and action in our lives by embodying the charism of St. Ignatius of Loyola. CLC is a great way to foster life-giving connections with others through faith, trust, and companionship. We strive to accompany each other in finding meaning and purpose through God and prayer in the midst of our busy lives. Ultimately, we aspire to help one another in discovering and living out one’s personal vocation. We live out our mission by becoming friends in the Lord, finding God in all
things, and committing ourselves to
service and social justice.
CLC stands on its three pillars of Community, Spirituality, and Mission. We strive to build community through small groups and community events such as bowling and CLC Games. Spirituality is fostered through the small groups where the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola is enacted in reflections and prayers to aid the members in pursuing their vocation. Mission is aiding the members of CLC in empowering them to go out and enact what they learn from CLC in themselves and their communities.
Each week 45 groups meet for an hour. Beyond the small-group experience, the CLC community also provides larger gatherings including campus-wide social events, communal prayer, and faith-filled conversations. These are opportunities
where the 400+ members can come together as one united
CLC family.
Here are some questions for reflection in considering joining CLC:
- Would you like to share your faith and what is going on in your life with other students?
- Do you want to further your spiritual journey in college?
- Would you like to get more out of your faith?
- Do you want to live your faith through service with others?
- Do you desire to explore your calling in life?
If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions, then maybe CLC is for you.
