Joanna Carroll, C.S.J.

Sr. Joanna Carroll, a Sister of St. Joseph of Orange, serves as Coordinator of the Spiritual Direction Office for students at LMU. She graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College, Los Angeles, with her B.A. in Child Development/Psychology. She has served in the education, liturgical, music, vocation and pastoral ministries for many years. Recently, Sr. Joanna received her Masters of Pastoral Studies from Loyola University Chicago. In addition, she holds a Certification from the Institute of Religious Formation from St. Louis University. As a Campus Minister her first priority is given to meeting students one-on-one, or in small groups, in spiritual direction. She helps students prepare for the Silent Retreat and is also available as a spiritual director for student leaders and ministers. She believes that each person can discover the wisdom of God within when given the opportunity to be deeply listened to in spiritual direction. Music, liturgy, nature, prayer and relationship are essentials of life for her. She is very happy to be here with us at LMU as we walk this sacred journey together.
