New and improved for 2009 LMU Golf Classic
Pacific Palms Resort begins its first year as the host course for the LMU Golf Classic and Dinner Auction in 2009.  Centrally located to all of Los Angeles in Industry Hills, the Pacific Palms Resort recently completed an extensive $60 million renovation that included both 18-hole golf courses, the addition of a new luxury spa, a new upscale restaurant and bar, a new resort pro shop, and 292 guest rooms.

First Class Courses: The Ike and the Babe
The centerpiece of this renovation are Pacific Palms' two 4-Star Golf Digest-rated championship golf courses, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Course (The Ike) and the Babe Didrikson Zaharias Course (The Babe).  Both courses underwent a full-scale refurbishment to upgrade and modernize them to provide better playability and one of the best golf experiences on the West Coast.  Designed by legendary golf architect William Francis Bell, the Ike and the Babe courses are recognized as two of his masterworks and are the host to the annual PGA US Open Qualifier in early May.

Premier Resort Location
Also included in the recent renovations are a number of amenities to make the location a full-service home for the LMU Golf Classic and Dinner Auction.  The evening Dinner and Auction will be held in the newly redesigned Colonial Ballroom and Pavilion, overlooking the San Gabriel Mountains at sunset.  The new 11,000 square-foot Spa at Pacific Palms includes lavish treatment rooms and a grand beauty salon to make the day a great destination for spouses or non-golfers for the afternoon, and special room rates will be available for those traveling from out of town or wanting to stay the night.

Special Hotel and Spa Rates
Special overnight hotel and spa packages are available for LMU participants and guests. Deluxe Guest Room reservations are available at the special discounted rate of only $129 by calling 800.524.4557 and ask for the LMU Golf Classic Rate. Spa prices vary by treatment, call 626.854.2502 for rates and reservations.

As the LMU Golf Classic and Dinner Auction enters its 16th year in 2009, Pacific Palms offers a first-class location to match the prestige of this premier annual event.  Plan to join us on May 15, 2009!
