The spring housing application will be available online in early November.

III. When is the spring housing application due?
The priority deadline for spring housing application materials is in early December. Students who are sent application materials after that time should apply, electronically acknowledge the License Agreement, and pay the processing fee immediately. IV. What do the housing application materials consist of?
To apply for housing you must complete the online application, electronically acknowledge the terms and conditions of the License Agreement on the online application, and pay the non-refundable $400 housing processing fee to the Student Accounts Office. Applications are not considered complete until all three items have been received and processed by the Student Housing Office.

V. How do I complete the License Agreement?
The license agreement is a legally binding document that covers the terms and conditions of living in Student Housing at LMU. It is binding for the entire academic year. You will need to read through the document found in the online application and electronically acknowledge that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions. An email will be sent to your LION email address confirming that you have completed this step and includes a link to a copy of the License Agreement. We encourage you to save a copy of the License Agreement for future reference.

VI. What are my options for paying the housing processing fee?
You must pay a non-refundable $400 housing processing fee in order for your application to be considered complete. This non-refundable fee is applied to your fall housing charges, but is forfeited should you cancel your housing for any reason. Please note that Student Accounts may take a couple of days to process the payment before we can consider this step of the application complete, so we recommend you submit payment for this fee as early as possible.

The preferred and quickest method of paying the processing fee is online on the Student Account Center. If paying online, please log in to MyLMU and click on "System Logins" on the top right to access the option titled "Student Account Center" from the drop down menu. Please select the "deposit" tab at the top of the page and follow the steps for the "spring 2013 housing deposit." Please note that this system only accepts personal checking and savings account information.

If submitting a check to our office by mail, there will be a delay of approximately 3 or more days from the time the check is mailed to our office, received by our office, and processed by the Student Accounts Office. We consider the housing processing fee complete when your payment is officially processed by the Student Accounts Office. Please make the check payable to Loyola Marymount University and ensure that your name and University ID number is on the check. You can mail the check to the below address.

Student Housing Office
Loyola Marymount University
1 LMU Drive, MS 8480
Los Angeles, CA 90045-2659

The university does not accept credit card payments. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that the payment has been accurately designated by Student Accounts as the "housing processing fee" and not any other type of payment.

X. I know someone who currently lives on campus and their roommate is leaving. How can I get into that space?
The person who is leaving their on campus assignment must cancel their housing assignment in order for you to request their space. If there is a vacancy that you would specifically like to request, please fill out the "Spring 2013 Roommate Request" form found in MyLMU. To access this form, please login to MyLMU and click on "System Logins" on the top right to access the option titled "Student Housing Online Services" from the drop down menu. Select the "My Housing" tab to find the section titled "Forms." Please note, if that person does not cancel their assignment or you do not complete the application materials by the deadline, then the Student Housing Office will not be able to accommodate this request. In addition, roommate requests are not guaranteed, however we will do our best to honor your request.

XI. My friend and I are new applicants and we want to live together. What are the chances of the two of us being assigned to the same room?
In order to accommodate a roommate request, both you and your friend must request each other on the online application. You must both enter each other’s name and Roommate Pairing Number on the application and confirm the request. When the Student Housing Office makes assignments, we will do our best to honor your roommate request. However, please note that vacancies are contingent upon cancellations and we cannot predict the availability of completely vacant rooms that would accommodate two roommates together.

XII. What buildings may I move into?
Vacancies are contingent upon mid-year cancellations. There may be a limited number of openings in buildings across campus. The Student Housing Office cannot predict where these openings will occur.
