Study Abroad Financial Assistance Grant


Students receiving financial aid for spring 2010 may be eligible for $2,500 LMU Study Abroad Financial Assistance Grant.  The Study Abroad Office will work with the LMU Financial Aid Office to determin eligibility and award the grants. 

No additional application is required.

The Gilman Scholarship

Review your LMU financial aid package.  If you are currently receiving a Pell Grant, you are eligible to apply for the The Gilman Scholarship, up to $8,000 with the option of an additional $3,000 for language study.  The Gilman program is also interested in promoting applicants interested in non-traditional destinations.

The David Boren Scholarship

Programs such as the David Boren Scholarship fund international experiences in non-European destinations, up to $20,000 for a full year program.  Longer programs have a better chance for all candidates except those in the sciences, who are allowed to apply for summer funding.

UNESCO

The US National Commission for UNESCO Laura Bush Traveling Fellowship funds brief work in a foreign country related to the mandate of UNESCO - using education, natural sciences, social and human sciences, culture, and/or communicaiton and information to build strong ties among nations.
