On Sabbatical
Dr. Wayne Le Cheminant is an Assistant Professor of Political Science. He is also affiliated with the Asian and Pacific Studies Program. Dr. Le Cheminant focuses his research and teaching on political culture and how ideas and ideology impact political institutions. He is currently working on editing a book called Mormons and Politics: The Lessons of History, Belief, and Practice with Russell Arben Fox and Nathan B. Oman. He has an article forthcoming in the book Leadership and Politics, entitled “Leadership, Cognition, and Political Manipulation.” He is also currently working on a book entitled Human Nature and the Political Imagination: The Crafting of the Polity. Dr. Le Cheminant also teaches courses on Asian politics. He has spent a considerable amount of time living in South Korea and is fluent in Korean.
