Heads UP is a campus-wide responsible drinking project at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. The mission of the project is to promote a safe and healthy lifestyle among all students and to intervene with high-risk students to reduce dangerous levels of drinking and the incidence of problems resulting from heavy consumption. The Heads Up team conducts rigorous research on adolescent and college-aged student health behaviors and disseminates this research to the broader scientific community.

The Heads UP project also seeks to change the campus culture with respect to drinking by involving all students, student leaders, faculty, staff, and parents in a comprehensive alcohol awareness and prevention program. Heads UP is a source of alcohol information for students and other members of the campus community. Heads Up relies on important collaborations within the LMU community as well as with other universities to provide effective harm-reduction models for the prevention of health-risk behaviors to increase overall student well-being.
