Where do I park if I am an LMU employee?
LMU faculty and staff parking are assinged to D lot [Seaver]; L lot [lower level in Drollinger]; and P1 in University Hall. If all faculty and staff lots are full, you may park in a student lot.
I am a student, where can I park?
Between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, students can park in student designated parking spaces. Between 4:00 pm and 7:00 am, students may park in any available parking space. Students must abide by rules and regulations as presented on the signs leading to each parking area.
My student assigned parking area is full, where do I park?
In the rare event that your assigned parking area is full, you may park in either the A lot or P2 – P3 at University Hall.
Do I need a parking permit?
Yes, all vehicles parked on the LMU campus must display a current parking permit.
Do I need to register a rental or a loaner that I will be using only for a few days?
Yes, all vehicles that park on the LMU campus must display a current parking permit. If you are using a vehicle that you do not normally use you can get a temporary parking pass from the parking office located in West Hall.
What do I do if I receive a citation?
If you receive a citation you feel was written in error, you may file an appeal on line within 21 days and follow the on line instructions. If you parked your vehicle illegally and received a citation you may pay the fine at the Controllers Office within 7 days.
I am having a guest visit me on campus and will need to park, how does this work?
If you are expecting a guest for the day they need to stop at the information Booth at the Lincoln Blvd. entrance and request a visitor’s pass for the day. If your guest is staying overnight they must register at the Department of Public Safety (DPS) for an overnight parking pass. If your guest is spending the night, you must register the guest with the Housing Department too. Remember, you are responsible for your guest and his/her actions while they are on campus, if your guest receives a citation you will be held responsible for the penalties and fines.
I have heavy items in my vehicle that I need to unload to my Residence Hall or office that are too heavy to carry from the parking lot, what can I do?
Under special circumstances when you have items that you cannot reasonably carry from your vehicle to your office or Residence Hall, you may request a special parking permit from either the information booth officer or at the parking office. However, there will still be some restrictions including the time allotment and location.
What is the campus speed limit?
Most campus roads are small with poor visibility and are constantly occupied with pedestrians, bikes and skateboarders that require drivers to be extra cautious. The campus speed limit is 15 MPH unless otherwise posted and is strictly enforced.
I received a citation from the city of Los Angles on campus, what can I do?
If you receive a city of Los Angles citation follow the instructions on the citation, the LMU parking department cannot assist with these violations. Often the city of Los Angles inspects our campus to ensure that the campus is in compliance with the California Vehicle Codes. If they observe a vehicle in violation of the California Vehicle Code they are authorized to write a citation to that vehicle.
