Desmond, located on the north campus, is neighbor to two other first-year buildings. It is the largest single-sex residence hall on campus. The three-story building houses first-year women. Every room has its very own sink in addition to the two centrally located bathrooms on each floor. The building is named for University benefactors, Daniel and C.C. Desmond. This building also participates in the  LEAD theme community.
