Programs

We provide high quality, developmentally and age appropriate programs for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The Center consists of 5 classrooms, each designed specifically for the age group it serves.  One of the most significant indicators of quality programs is the number of paid, educated, professional staff available with whom the children can interact and relate. Our programs provide optimum supervision and care by providing teacher to child ratios consistent with quality programs.  The learning environment ratios are as follows:

Age Group LMUCC Ratios State Requirements
Infants 1:3 1:4
Toddlers 1:3 1:4
2's 1:6 1:12
3's 1:8 1:12
4's 1:8 1:12

As part of our commitment to quality programs, the Loyola Marymount University Children’s Center will pursue Accreditation by the National Academy of Early Childhood programs, a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC Accreditation is a voluntary process, with less than 8% of centers in the nation achieving this prestigious certification.
