-Stress reduction and mood elevation
-Reduced risk of injury
-Improved aerobic capacity
-Weight loss (increase in lean muscle mass)

Q: How much does a training session cost?
Click on the "Personal Training Packages" link located on the page to access the cost and breakdown of each package. You can also browse for trainers and read their profile to decide which trainer you would like to work with.
Q: What will happen during a session?
·All personal training sessions are 1 hour in length.
· Each personal training package includes a comprehensive fitness assessment(except for the individual sessions). A comprehensive fitness assessment includes a Health Risk Appraisal (HRA), resting measurements (blood pressure, heart rate, height/weight), body composition analysis, a sub-maximal bicycle ergometer test which measures your aerobic fitness, muscular endurance test, muscular strength test, and flexibility test. The assessment will be done on the first session and should take approximately 1 hour. The advantage to participating in the assessment is that your baseline fitness level is established and progress can be measured. Measured improvement is the best motivation.
· After your assessment is complete, the personal trainer will design a program based on your results and goals. All program designs will include a cardiovascular component, a muscular conditioning component and a flexibility component.
· Each time you meet with your trainer they will discuss any adjustments and/or modifications you seek and oversee your exercise for that session. Working out with a personal trainer is always going to fun, safe and informative.
Q: What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your Personal Trainer will have a brief discussion with you about why you are there and what you hope to accomplish out of the training. They will also get a sense of your past fitness experience and your specific fitness goals. The information gathered will be used to start your personal program!
