William H. Hannon Library Now Open

The William H. Hannon Library is the newest and most sophisticated library facility in Los Angeles. The library, which officially opened Aug. 30, is expected to become the cultural and intellectual hub of the Loyola Marymount University campus. Its three above-ground stories and two basement levels have space for more than 1 million volumes, and the more than 100 computer workstations, four classrooms, and dozens of group study rooms will facilitate all forms of learning.
The library will be open during regular hours to members of the surrounding community. It includes numerous "green" features, including an energy-efficient design and the use of recycled materials in its construction. It also features an IT help desk, wireless Internet connectivity, and a full-service cafe, among other amenities.
