What are NACURH/PACURH?
NACURH
The National Association of College and University Residence Halls is considered to be the largest student run organization in the world. It is completely student run, in all of the national and regional positions. It brings together over four hundred schools from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Australia. NACURH promotes living on campus as an integral part of the college experience, and strives to provide resources to help member schools create the ultimate residence hall environment and experience.
PACURH
NACURH is divided into eight regional affiliates, each representing a particular geographic region. Loyola Marymount University is in the PACURH (Pacific Association of College and University Residence Halls) region, which includes schools from the west coast states (California, Hawaii, Alaska, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon). During the year the universities that are in each region gather at conferences and meetings to vote on issues about NACURH and PACURH organizations, brainstorm and share program ideas and events, network and inform other schools of the status of their NACURH program, and to celebrate the year’s achievements.
