Cosmology and Kundalini Yoga
RELX 984.01
(1 unit, 10 hours, $150, CRN 30253)
Saturday-Sunday;  June 14-15;  10:00 am - 4:00 pm;  St. Robert's Hall 233

The challenges of our time call us to expand our consciousness, strengthen our bodies, sharpen our insight, develop our intuition, deepen our compassion, and re-orient our view of our place in the cosmos. This course will combine the practice of Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, with an exploration of the contemporary cosmology of Thomas Berry and Brian Swimme. Our minds will open to the story of the stars and the living earth, while our bodies awaken to their inner wisdom and connection to the whole. As cosmology stretches our awareness to the most distant galaxies, yoga helps us to sink into the universe within.

Instructor: Gina Lugo received her Masters degree in Philosophy and Religion with a concentration in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She is a student of Yogi Bhajan and certified yoga instructor. She teaches yoga and meditation classes the Bay area and is adjunct faculty to the Yoga Philosophy Certificate Program at CIIS.
