The Web 2.0 Roadshow continues with a presentation from Kam Dahlquist and John Dionisio of the College of Science and Engineering. Kam and John have used Google Sites and the MediaWiki software as organizational tools for their courses: Bioinformatics Laboratory and Biological Databases. Students use these sites as workspaces for keeping online laboratory notebooks/journals and for collaborative work. They will discuss how they have incorporated the technology into their courses and the advantages and disadvantages of using each tool.
