Books + Media

Books and Media dealing with economics can be identified in LINUS, LMU's online catalog, by author, title, keyword, and subject. If you're not familiar with using LINUS, see our LINUS Tutorial.  Since the Von der Ahe library is arranged according to the Library of Congress Classification System, most economics books, media, journals, etc. will have call numbers starting with the letters "HB."

You may request books from other university libraries if they are not available at LMU.  Search LINK+ and request the book online using your OneCard.  Your book should arrive in 3-4 days.  For more information on LINK+ please see LINK+ Instructions.



Journal Articles


If you are looking for a specific journal, consult LMU's Journal List located on the library homepage to determine if the Library owns the journal you need (it will tell you if the journal is available in print or in one of our online databases). If LMU does not have what you need, you can order articles via our Document Delivery Service for a small charge. Ask at Reference.

The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR)  LMU only
Collection of raw data files throughout the social sciences, including voter opinion and behavior, census data, education statistics, economic behavior and attitudes datasets, and more. These are raw data files to download that can then be manipulated with statistical software, such as SPSS or SAS.
