Returning the Gift
Returning the Gift
More
than 25 years after graduating, Stephen J. Erigero ’82 continues to
support the university each year through his gifts to LMU’s Greatest
Needs. “Having received financial aid from the Jesuit community is
really the reason I started to give as soon as I got out of school,”
said Erigero.
Filled with a sense of gratitude, he is committed to affording
others the opportunity he received as a student. Erigero’s loyalty has
allowed him to witness the impact of unrestricted giving. Whenever
Erigero returns to LMU for alumni gatherings, he is proud to see all of
the improvements on campus, but he believes there is one thing that has
not changed.
“That strong social justice component was here then I know it’s here
now,” said Erigero. “LMU students are taught to understand the social
impact of their choices.” Erigero is an attorney and lives in Manhattan
Beach with his wife and their 9 year-old son and 6 year-old daughter.
