Ivie Arasomwan
Oakland, CA
Sophomore
My name is Ivie Arasomwan and I was born and raised in Oakland, CA. I am a sophomore Sociology major here at LMU. I love the positive atmosphere that the students at LMU promote. My favorite time of the week is Convocation which allows all students on Tuesdays and Thursdays to have over an hour break where there are no classes. This is where I find the time to connect with my friends that I don’t get to normally meet with during the week, and Convocation allows clubs and various organizations to communicate with the student body. Also there are many activities that the campus offers which makes this university more of a second home to me. I work at First Year Experience which I hope all freshmen can come to at least one time in their college career. I also am a part of Sursum Corda which is a service organization on campus that allows us to extend our services here at LMU in addition to the greater LA area. When I am not working or doing service I love thrift store shopping!! Lastly, I am looking forward to our lovely summer together and I hope you enjoy your orientation session! |

Senior
Well where can I start...I am a very outgoing person who loves to talk, smile, and make new friends. I enjoy reading, shopping, and going out to eat. I love traveling and this summer I will be going Oxford, England to study abroad. I am the first person in my entire family to attend college and I owe it all to my family for giving me this great opportunity. My first language is Spanish and I am allergic to broccoli. Some of the things I do at LMU are President of my service organization MAGIS, Co-Director of the Confirmation Program, Director of Special Events for ASLMU, TA in the Spanish Department, and of course an Orientation Leader. I look forward to meeting all the new incoming First Year Students and getting them excited to become part of the Lion Family. GO LIONS! |
