            PeaceJam Conference

APPLY NOW TO BE A LMU MENTOR!!

Have you heard the buzz about PeaceJam?!!
Are you interested in spending 3 days with Desmond Tutu, Rigoberta Menchu,
Jody Williams, Dalai Lama via satelite and others?!!

The PeaceJam Youth Conference invites international high school students to
spend a weekend with Nobel Peace Laureates, giving them an unprecedented
opportunity to share with, learn from, and be inspired by a world leader for
peace. Participating youth create and implement their own Global Call to
Action Projects, becoming creative leaders who are committed to solving the
most difficult problems facing our world.

As an LMU mentor, you will be paired with another mentor in leading a family
group of about ten high school students. Your role includes showing the
students around LMU, attending break-out sessions, and leading family group
conversations. LMU students not participating as mentors will have to pay
over $300 to attend the conference. Please apply so you can share in this
awesome experience!

WE'VE ALREADY HOSTED A TRAINING FOR MENTORS,
BUT FEAR NOT, YOU CAN STILL APPLY!!
The first training will be repeated next semester and it is calling your
name!

Applications can be picked up in CSA (Malone 360).

Mentors must attend all of the following:
TRAINING 1: September 6th, 10:00am-6:00pm
TRAINING 2: September 7th, 10:00am-4:00pm
CONFERENCE: September 11th-13th
